Hence the castle- where you can eat candy and chocolates all day; the purple zebras (again)- which can fly and talk and sing; the colorful bubblegum trees- which actually have different fruity flavors when you take a bite, and the teeny-weeny identical cottages. Oh, and do you see Prince Charming on his white horse? He's on the other side of one of those hills.

As you may have noticed, it's practically the same with the banner. Let's just say I love recycling my psd's.

Slumberland
This is Slumberland, the world of sleep where reality is intertwined with fantasy, in a girl's view- in my point of view. You can compare it to Neverland sans Peter Pan, the Lost Boys, the Picaninny tribe, the Pirates, and the quite annoying Wendy Moira Angela Darling.

A Purple Zebra
A purple zebra for your thoughts.
I dream of the impossible.Prose from my DA.
A purple zebra.
Flying pigs.
Talking cows.
I want to go near the moon,
and ask if I can live there.
I dream of riding on clouds,
floating away.
Problem-free.
Careless.
Happy.
I want to reach for the stars,
and maybe they'd grant my wish.

The corny prose:
A few drops of tears sometimes.
Bits of failures and triumphs.
Sweet encouragements.
Rude criticisms.
A whole lot of determination.
Regular feeds of prayers.
Patience and perseverance also.
And a humongous leap of faith.
All those make up
Loads of fun.
To make a dream-come-true
Worth the wait.

Swing High Higher Highest Okay, so I originally entitled this with a ridiculous name, but now's a great time to change it- And a less creative at that. Who says creators can't change the titles of their works? Go scratch a chicken's back.

Swing
That was year 2009. Good news is, a new year means a fresh new chance at happiness! As they say,You know how it feels just sitting on a swing, trying to go higher until you see rooftops? It's the feeling of freedom, without any care with the world; Just looking, watching people pass by and run around. But the most euphoric feeling comes when you know that you are way above ground, almost reaching the skies, detaching yourself from the stresses of the world for a while. And you wish it would always feel that way.
**Sitting on a swing is the only way you can feel high and euphoric without necessarily taking drugs.**
That's what I long to feel right now. Yes, that bitter drug called euphoria.
Happiness is a choice.I won't lie and say I'm perfectly happy starting 2010. I'm still struggling to cleanse my system with the dark thoughts and feelings from last year (a lot has happened); But each day I try my hardest to choose the right things and not repeat the same mistakes.

Fancy Dreams
I did this for a contest at DA, unfortunately I didn't win. *sniff* I so wanted a Wacom tablet.
Here's my cheesy description of this from my DA:
I am but a normal girl in my early twenties. I dream of a lot of great heroic dreams (believe me, I dream of giving a million to every family), but I also dream of fancy sweet and childish things...*well, ok. I do dream of a LOOOT of childish dreams. But kids have very sincere happy dreams...*
I dream of peace, riding on a cloud, sipping tea in my lanai on a warm sunset, having my own car, eating cookies perpetually, planting more trees and leading an eco-friendly life, building my dream house, and wearing a fabulous gown like what royalty wears in medieval times.
And of course, lots of love instead of the unending cycle of vengeance and war.

Karmine Felomena is a silent girl who has an affinity for folklore and local flavor. She loves melons and pancakes with ketchup in the morning, and dips pickles in chocolate syrup with pepper.
The night before, her Granny told her an old story about a rich young debonair who throws money on the streets and gives strange pink calla lilies to ladies. His name was Charles Charlemagne. He was rumored to be immortal and that his parents sold his soul to a witch when he was born, which is why he turns into a beast every 5th of the month. He fell in love with a young woman which he outlived but was believed to reincarnate every 40 years because he bit her when he was a monster. Charles Charlemagne had since followed her whenever she appeared, and brought misfortune to her family.
A stained and rusty large medallion and some dirty vintage coins… Karmine wonders how Charles Charlemagne died. Nobody in History class told her what had happened, she’d only heard the first part of the local story from her Granny. She always thought it wasn’t real…until she found these artifacts in her attic.

First up, Happy New Year!
It was a nice and simple Media Noche for me and my family. Mama had us write beforehand a list of things we were thankful for in 2009, then we each read our lists out loud before praying for the food. We also stated our ultimate new year’s wish - of course I said: to go back to school! With conviction! It’s a wish I’ve had since I left school last November 2008. Gasp! I’ve been indolent for more than a year now!
Though I wished for a silent New Year’s Eve, it’s obviously a wish impossible to grant. Thankfully some jolly people outside our subdivision cared to do a fireworks display. My eyes always get all sparkly upon the sight of fireworks.
Anyway I did this illustration also during New Year’s Eve. 2009 wasn’t exactly a nice year for me, so I drew inspiration from my friends who just got themselves boyfriends/girlfriends before the year ended. Whenever I check out my Facebook account there would always be something cheesy in my Live News Feed page - not that it’s bad; I know they’re happy, butI’m getting giddy with the idea of romance. Okay I admit, I’m in the boys-are-jerks-era, not because my heart got broken I broke a heart but because, well, boys are just really jerks.
Thus I dedicate this “romantic” themed new year illustration to my friends who are in love, and even those whom I don’t personally know, that you and your partner will still stay together throughout the year.
As for me, I’m contented being single.
I posted this earlier at my DA, Facebook and Tumblr page; It's more appropriate to say BELATED Happy New Year Blogspot.
